Tasting Notes:
This is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, all grown on the premium Quinta da Bacalhoa Estate. It is only produced during particular years when the grapes have matured to reach an absolute outstanding quality. Specifically picked French oak ( Allier ) barriques of the best standard are used to age the wine for 15 months. The wine is then blended in order to produce a very deep and vivid ruby colour , with complex aromas of red berries combined with notes of coffee, mint and cigar box. The palate is rich and concentrated with sweet fruit and hints of nutmeg. It has good length and is well structured with ripe flavours and a seamless elegant finish.
