A lively rose petal pink colour, it has a fine Cinsault nose characterised by aromas of blossom and of red fruits, with just a hint of black pepper suggested by the Syrah. A very fruity wine with flavours of raspberry and redcurrant; while there is plenty of fruit on the palate, the wine finishes dry with crisp acidity.

Established under Louis XIII in 1650, the Chateau de Pennautier forms the heart of the Lorgeril estate. The Domaine comprises of 340 hectares, mainly in the Cabardes region of northern Languedoc, close to the medieval city of Carcassonne. Miren and Nicolas de Lorgeril, direct descendants of the first Marquis de Pennautier, are the tenth generation of the family to make wine here.
Lovely to drink well-chilled on its own on a warm summer`s day and with fish dishes, bouillabaisse, salads and various hors d`oeuvres.
