Our next upcoming supplier tasting this Thursday evening has the general theme of ‘New World Tasting’. The venue this time will be upstairs at the London Road pub in Twickenham. We’ve recently got back in stock some of the popular Sharp’s beers from this Cornish brewery on our ale stand. These include Doombar Rock bitter (4%), Eden Pure Ale (4.3%) and Chalky’s Bite ‘pale ales’ (6.8%).
These beers have sold well when we got more of their range in, and quite a few of our customers have heard of it due to it being ‘on draught’ in various pubs. I also noticed it was ‘on draught’ in a local pub in Clavering...

We still have a very good selection of ales and growing choice of stouts on our ale stand, all of which are mixable and on deal.
Recently we have got a new selection from the range of Meantime beers, stouts and ales on the top ale stand shelve on offering. This is a fairly modern Greenwich-based brewery in South-East London founded in 2000 that has won awards for its traditional style English stouts, ales and European style beers.

Last week on Tuesday 24th January my manager and a work colleague attended the New Zealand Wine Annual Trade Tasting held at Lord’s Cricket Ground Pavilion in London. From what I heard it was a very large and busy event packed out with lots of people from within the trade.

Last week on Thursday 26th January we had our end-of-the-month supplier tasting, held in the cloisters at our local All Hallows church again. This time the theme was not wine but a whisky tasting in keeping with the previous evening’s Burn’s Night theme, to commemorate Robbie Burns (25 January 1759 – 21 July 1796), Scotland’s most famous poet.
