• History - Original Lone Star brewery was built in 1884, founded by Adolph
Busch & group of San Antonio businessmen, it was the first large
mechanized brewery in Texas. In 1918 the brewery was closed due to
Prohibition. Lone Star Brewery was rebuilt & reopened in 1933. In 1999,
Pabst Brewing Co purchased the Lone Star Brewing Co and Kept it brewing
in Texas. In 2007, Lone Star went back too its proud heritage and embraced
the Spirit of Texas with new packaging featuring the historic “Shield and star”
logo.
• Product Notes - Lone Star beer uses the finest hops from the Pacific
Northwest with the hearty grains from the Central and Northern Plains.
Malted barley and corn extract combine to provide Lone Star with nature’s
