Americans have invaded the style a bit, interpreted it and make bitterer(ererer), less malt accented varieties that are nearer traditional British India Pale Ales. Which the Little Creatures is similar to.

Brewed on the shore of Freemantle, with a pretty view from the brewpub (that undoubtedly looks out onto a big house, complete with an absurdly welcoming mother figure and some caravans), the Little Creatures brewers are, like most things in Australia, new, having only opened their doors in 2000. A main feature of the brew house design was the introduction of a “hop back”, which is like a giant tea bag that helps hop infusion and the hoppy beers reflect their love of the ingredient.
