Nose: Deeply woody, with tart oak and an acetic note. Strawberries emerge as the beer warms.
Palate: Plenty of character here, with a resemblance to an aged Belgian sour ale, but this is bittersweet on the whole, with a toasted malt note and an oaky dryness to crisp it up.
Finish: Dry and oaky, with lingering winey fruit and a soft bitterness.
A speciality beer with low carbonation. One of the best Innis & Gunn offerings.
